Dr. Nisha Chaudhary has a diverse educational background. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Meerut, followed by a Diploma in Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Sitapur Eye Hospital, KGMU Lucknow, and a DNB in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital in Coimbatore. After that, she was a Senior resident in the glaucoma and squint unit(under prof Kirti Singh) at Guru Nanak Eye Centre,  New Delhi. Her dissertation on ‘Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography versus Dye Angiography in the Diagnosis of Choroidal Neovascular Membrane,’ submitted to the National Board of Examinations in New Delhi.

She has a wide range of skills in ophthalmology, including routine ophthalmic examinations, proficiency in various ophthalmoscopy techniques, treatment of common ocular conditions and emergencies, refractive error correction, and management of corneal ulcers. She has performed numerous cataract surgeries, including phacoemulsification and trabeculectomies, as well as various squint surgeries. She is trained in DCR and DCT surgery for lacrimal sac-related diseases, pterygium surgery with autograft, and laser procedures. She is also well-versed in ophthalmological investigations such as B-scan, OCT, AS-OCT, OCTA, FFA, ICG, and UBM. Dr. Nisha has presented papers and posters at several conferences and has received awards for her presentations. She is currently analyzing the role of imaging in strabismus and amblyopia.

Publications & Presentations

Dr. [Name] has been actively involved in presenting papers and posters at various conferences. At the DOS Winter Conference 2018, she presented a paper on pesticide-induced cataract and a poster on a rare case of symptomatic unilateral double optic disc pit with maculopathy. She has also served as a trainer at the GAP (Gonioscopy and Perimetry) workshop twice in 2022 and 2023 at GNEC, and as a trainer at SSTC DOS twice in 2022 and 2023 for SICS, phacoemulsification, and trabeculectomy. In 2023, she presented a poster on “Silent Time Ticking Copper Foreign Body in Eye” at DOS. Additionally, she shared her insights on the facets of hypotony post-trabeculectomy at the DOS monthly clinical meet in September 2023 at GNEC.
